The worst day
ReplyDeleteIt was my first day at this High School, when I met the popular girls and the next day was the most awful day in my entire life.
My parents and I moved to Italy because they were obliged by their jobs. Obviously I was upset because I was about to leave my best friend here, in my old country. My mom said that we were going to visit every year the country, but I didn’t trust her.
My first day at High School was pretty nice. I made two British friends, I am British too. They are the greatest friends I ever met,after my best friend from England.
In the first break, the popular girls spotted me. They came at me and asked me what was my phone number, my social accounts and why I came here. From the begging I thought that they were mean, and it was true. While they were talking to me, they were chewing gum, looking in the mirror, talking with soccer boys, putting lipgloss on their lips and of course ,always, they were doing their makeup.
When I arrived home, I was very joyful and I started to tell to my parents all the things that happend to me . After the conversation I remembered that I had to make a presentation on my laptop about me and my hobbies, fears. That presentation was going to be seen by everyone.
The popular girls knew that I was going to prepare something for the next day, so they call some friends to hack my presentation. The changed the context, photos.
Next day, I was so excited to present to everybody the PowerPoint presentation. When the PowerPoint started, it wasn’t the same as the one I made it at home, it was totally different.
I started laughing to make it look like a funny mistake , but I started to think that it was the worst thing that it could be happend.
8/75 My favourite song is ‘’Hips Don’t Lie’’ by Shakira.I have a lot of songs that I like to listen, but this song can wake me up from a well nap.
This song was first realeased in 2005. In 2006 this song became the number one hit in USA and other 55 contries.
The song ‘’ Hips Don’t Lie’’ is about Shakira’s ability, to dance.
I am a fan of this song because is an energetic song that never fail.

My favourite song is “Viva la vida” by Coldplay.
This song was released on the 4th of August, 2008. “Viva la vida” became popular very fast after its release. Now, it has over 800 million views.
“Viva la vida” is a Spanish phrase that is translated to “live life”. The song’s lyrics are meant to mirror the final speech and thoughts of King Louis XVI on the date of his execution in the final moments of the French Revolution.
The ruined evening
Last summer, I and my best friend were invited to a party. We decided to go there together, but I wanted her to come at my house earlier to help me to do my hair.
Before we left, my dog came at us and jumped on my friend’s dress and stained it with mud.
We tried to find a dress that she likes in my wardrobe but when we finally found one, we realised that it wasn’t her size.
I tried again to clean the dress, but I ruined it. I made her an outfit for the party, but my dog stained the clothes again.
I started laughing to make it look like a funny mistake , but I felt so awkward.

“Skyfall” is one of my favourite songs and it is written by Adele. It was first released in the movie "Skyfall" (2012) and after that the song of the same name was release on YouTube in 2013. The song got a lot of popularity on its release.
Adele’s gorgeous voice matched perfectly the movie. Her remarkable ability to infuse emotion in her lyrics it’s indescribable. The lyrics describe someone who has struggled but refuses to give up. The song is also about loyalty.
I like it because of its lyrics and also for the reason I listen to it since I was 4. My sister put it on TV. I still remember the moment. How can I not like this song?

It was one of those days when everything seemed to be going against to me. The morning began with some unfortunate events, from spilling coffee on my favorite T-shirt to tripping on my way to catch the bus. But I knew that the real challenge of the day hadn’t come yet.
As I walked into the crowded conference room, I could feel the eyes of my classmates fixed on me. It was time for my presentation, a moment that could improve my career. I had prepared very well, recapitulating my speech countless times to make sure that I wouldn’t sttuter.
With shaking and sweaty hands, I connected my laptop to the video projector, ready to present my project. When I clicked on the first slide, the room went dark. Before I could panic I realized that I had accidentally unplugged the power cable.
I struggled desperately to reconnect the cable, my hands trembling with panic. I accidentally spilled a cup of water onto the keyboard. The liquid made a short-circuiting. Everyone jumped from their seats, shouted desperately, and searched for an extinguisher.
Taking courage, I started to laugh. It was a forced laugh, but it worked. I pretended it was all a hilarious accident. People turned their attention to me, and then their facial expressions changed from alarm to amusement.
With each giggle from the others, I felt a little encouragement that made me feel better. Laughter replaced the panic and the chaos turned into a joyful atmosphere. I was glad that I was able to save the situation, but I couldn't completely erase the embarrassment.
I started laughing to make it look like a funny mistake, but I learned that sometimes, laughter can be the antidote to embarrassment. As I ended my presentation with laughter and applauses, I knew that I hadn’t only survived the experience but I came home with the ability to find the light even in the darkest moments.

I was sitting thoughtful at the dining table with a few relatives. People were talking loudly and arguing over their work, but I didn’t pay attention to them, I was in my own world. I came back to reality when, unfortunately, my dad said to me: “Tell them what you did last week, girlie”. I didn’t want to and tried to excuse myself, yet my dad insisted so I took a deep breath and started telling the terrible story.
I was playing around the house with my dogs when my stomach grumbled and I decided to take a look in the fridge to see what can I eat. The fridge was full. However, there were only drinks and no food, so I went for cooking some pancakes. Before I started cooking my brother walked in asking me to make some for him as well and I agreed. As I was minding my own business there, my dogs burst out running and jumping around the kitchen. I got distracted and forgot about the pancakes.
After a while my parents got home and the first thing they felt was a burnt smell. They went running in the kitchen and saw the walls black, smoke everywhere, mess and my brother’s flip flops. They were really mad and yelled at my brother because they found his flip flops there, but even if he said that it was me, they didn’t believe him. Although, when my dad asked me if I did it, I still blamed him even if I knew that it was my fault. Of course, after that my big brother was extremely furious and didn’t talk to me for a long period of time, ignoring me whenever we saw each other. After I realized that I did a big mistake, I was awfully embarrassed to look in his eyes and apologize, but I indeed tell my mother that I lied and that I was the one to blame.
I felt really bad for what I did and I wished that my dad wouldn’t make me say it in front of all those people. When I finished telling the story everyone giggled and I started laughing to make it look like a funny mistake, but I just wanted the ground to open up and swallow me.
8/75 My favorite song is “Kill Bill” by SZA. It was first released in December 2022, as part of SZA’s album ‘SOS’. At first, the song wasn’t very popular, but it gained popularity because of social media and it is in the top 10 of the hot 100 since a few months ago.
This song is about discovering yourself and regaining the control in a relationship. The artist’s voice makes the lyrics hit the listener harder and bring more emotions. The lyrics also mention about the little story that helps you accept yourself and talk about how complex a relationship can be.
The things that I like about the song and the artist are mainly the lyrics, melody and the passion in them. Every time I listen to this song I recall that I can only find determination and strength in myself, and also that I will need them to pass future life challenges.
